UA Women's Basketball Set to Begin Practice

Tucson, Ariz. (Oct. 10) - Although the University of Arizona women's basketball team will participate in Midnight Madness festivities on Friday, Oct. 11, the squad will not begin official practice until Saturday.

The Wildcats will conduct their first full practice of the 2002-03 season on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 1:30-4 p.m. in the Bear Down Gymnasium. The weekend's practice sessions continue on Sunday, Oct. 13, from 2-4:30 p.m. in McKale Center.

UA women's basketball practices are open to the public, and media members are encouraged to attend. Photographers and videographers may shoot portions of practice for their outlets, provided they stay ample distance away from the action.

Although always subject to change, the current schedule for the first full week of practice is as follows:
Saturday, Oct. 12 - 1:30-4 p.m. - Bear Down Gym
Sunday, Oct. 13 - 2-4:30 p.m. - McKale Center
Monday, Oct. 14 - 4:30-7 p.m. - McKale Center
Tuesday, Oct. 15 - 2:20-4:30 p.m. - McKale Center
Wednesday, Oct. 16 - OFF
Thursday, Oct. 17 - 2-4:30 p.m. - McKale Center
Friday, Oct. 18 - 4:30-7 p.m. - McKale Center
Saturday, Oct. 19 - 2-4:30 p.m. - McKale Center
