PHOENIX -- The No. 3-ranked Arizona softball team used the long ball to beat No. 12 Nebraska, 11-4, in the Fiesta Bowl Tournament and win its eighth consecutive game.

Winning pitcher Becky Lemke (4-0) struck out 10. The four runs by Nebraska are the only runs scored against UA this year.

The Wildcats (8-0) pounded five home runs for the second consecutive game. Earlier UA clouted five against Louisiana State. Third baseman Toni Mascarenas hit one in the morning and two against the Huskers to give her a team-high six.

Allison Andrade, Leneah Manuma and Mackenzie Vandergeest also had home runs for Arizona, which now has 21 in its eight games.

Arizona plays games at 10 a.m. against South Carolina and at 12 noon against Missouri Sunday to close out its play in the tournament, hosted by Arizona State.
