Match Data: The Wildcats (1-0, 0-0 Pac-12) continue their season in Tucson as they host the Sacramento State Hornets (0-0, 0-0 Big Sky) at LaNelle Robson Tennis Center on Friday at 12 p.m.

LaNelle Robson Tennis Center: This weekend’s matches will be held on Arizona’s home courts. LaNelle Robson Tennis Center was dedicated in 1991 and is home to 17 lit courts, a center-court grandstand and a permanent canopy over the stands.

Arizona Head Coach Tad Berkowitz enters his seventh season as the head coach of the Wildcats. During the 2008-09 season he was named the Pac-10 Men's Tennis Coach of the Year and the Wilson/ITA West Region Coach of the Year. Last season, he led the Wildcats to a 9-14 overall record. He joined the program in 2004 and has held numerous national and collegiate coaching positions. He was promoted to the head coaching position in the spring of 2005 after serving as hall-of-famer Bill Wright's assistant. Berkowitz was a top collegiate player for the Universities of Kentucky and New Mexico, respectively.

Fabulous Five: Arizona returns five players from the 2010-2011 season. Junior Frank Chen will be looked to as a leader this season as he boasts the most colligate tennis experience on the team. Sophomores Giacomo Miccini, Kieren Thompson, Mario Urquidi, and Andre Vidaller also bring their knowledge and experience to the court.

Fresh Four: The Wildcats welcome four freshmen to the 2011-12 roster. Joining the team before the fall season were Carlos Bermudez and Robin Chou. Adding to the four are Sebastian Ionescu and Sumeet Shinde who joined the team in the spring. All four could play vital roles in both singles and doubles action this season.

Last Time Out: In their season opener against the NAU Lumberjacks, the Cats picked up six singles wins and two doubles wins to clinch the match, 7-0.

The Series vs. Sacramento State: This will be the fourth meeting of the two schools with Arizona holding the 3-0 advantage over the Hornets.

The Last Meeting: On March 4, 2011 the Wildcats won a close match against the Hornets, 4-3. The Wildcats clinched the doubles point, winning two matches. Returning players Andre Vidaller, Kieren Thompson, and Mario Urquidi clinched the three singles wins to win the match for the Wildcats.

Scouting the Hornets: This will be the first match for Sacramento State in the spring season. In the ITA Regionals, the Hornets advanced two players to the singles round-of-32 and two doubles teams to round-of-32 play.
