LOUISVILLE, Ky. ?- The No. 18 Arizona volleyball team rebounded from an earlier loss today to defeat No. 12 Louisville in four games (30-24, 20-30, 30-24, 30-25) in the final match of the Courtyard by Marriott Airport East Classic. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 5-1 on the season.

Senior setter Stephanie Butkus and junior Dominique Lamb were named to the all-tournament team. Butkus averaged 12.36 assists, 2.73 digs and 0.55 blocks, while Lamb posted averages of 3.27 kills, 0.73 blocks and 0.45 service aces over the three matches.

“We really played well together,” Head Coach David Rubio said. “We defended extremely well and played all facets of the game well tonight. It’s obviously our biggest win of the season, but more importantly, it really puts us in the right direction. Dominique and Brooke played terrific. Steph had a great match and Kristina was amazing. We had to play well together and everyone had to be on the top of their games in order to beat Louisville.”

Sophomore Brooke Buringrud led a group of three Wildcats to notch career highs in kills with 19. She also had 10 digs for her second career double-double. Freshman Whitney Dosty and Lamb each posted career-highs of 17 kills. Lamb hit .394 on the match. Senior Kristina Baum rounded out the group of Arizona players in double-digit kills with 13.
