Dates have been set for the 2010 Niya Butts Basketball Academy to be held once again inside the University of Arizona's McKale Center.
The first week of camp will run from June 1-4 and will be Day Camp for girls in grades 2nd through 8th. Each day of camp, running from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., will teach basketball fundamentals and also include team play. Each camper will receive a t-shirt and basketball for attending.
Position Camp will be the next session and is scheduled to take place June 10-12. This camp for high school girls will provide individual instruction by Arizona women's basketball head coach Niya Butts as well as members of her staff and other basketball coaches. This camp is designed for advanced players who possess the motivation and work ethic with goals of competing at the collegiate level.
The final weekend of camp will be the Team Camp, taking place June 19-21. Two divisions will once again be planned for both large school varsity and travel teams as well as another for small school varsity and junior varsity teams. Teams will be guaranteed at least five games with certified officials as well as receiving instruction.
