PRINCETON, N.J.- Arizona earned its highest team ranking of the year (No. 16) in the tennis rankings released today. UA's previous high was 21st which it has held down for four of the season's eight weeks (Feb. 2, Feb. 9, Feb.16, and March 15). The ranking marks the fifth time in the spring campaign that the Wildcats are in the top 25 but only the first time they have cracked the top 20.

Six other Pac-10 schools are ranked in the top 25 as well. Stanford (No. 1), Arizona State (No. 2), California (No. 6), Southern California (No. 7), UCLA (No. 9), and Washington (No. 25). Oregon (No. 42) and Washington State (No. 62) round out the list of all the ranked Pac-10 schools.

In singles rankings, Arizona junior Michelle Gough moved up three spots from the last edition to No. 59. Freshman Uzma Khan jumped to No. 49 after moving into the rankings at No. 54 in the March 1 rankings.

In doubles, Gough and sophomore Lindsay Blau earned a No. 3 ranking with a 23-8 record on the season.

The next team, singles, and doubles rankings will be released March 29.
