Pickney, from Houston, Texas, averaged 22.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks while leading the Wildcats to a home sweep of the Oregon schools. On the week, Pickney shot 56.3 percent (18-of-32) from the floor and 81.8 percent (9-of-11) from the line.
Against 22nd-ranked Oregon on Feb. 1, she scored a career-high 26 points on 11 -of-18 shooting, was 4-of-6 from the foul line and grabbed a game-high seven rebounds. In the win over OSU on Feb. 3, Pickney posted her second double-double of the year with 19 points and a season-high 11 rebounds. She was instrumental in keeping the Cats in the game - when OSU had cut the lead to just two late in the contest, she nailed a lay-up and connected on two free throws to push the lead back out to six points. She shot 7-of-14 from the field and was a perfect 5-for-5 from the line.
In a three-way tie for second place in the Pac-10, Arizona (6-3 Pac-10, 16-5 overall) snapped a three-game losing skid and has won consecutive games heading into the second half of Conference play.
The Player of the Week honor is the second of Pickney's career, her second this season and the 22nd all-time selection for the Wildcats.
