Throughout the Arizona Wildcat women's golf season, senior Margarita Ramos will keep a weekly blog about life and golf in the Pac-12. Check back for more updates!
As you all know, we had an amazing start to our season where we won our first two tournaments. We struggled a little in the next two tournaments, not playing to the best of our abilities. This has taught us that we must never take anything for granted. We have worked hard every day at practice. Our coaches have made a very rigorous practice schedule for us, focusing on chipping, pitching, and putting. We know with preparation and determination we will achieve our goals. It is human to make mistakes but what we are learning in these process is how to get up faster and come in strong and prepared for our next tournament.
It is crazy how fast time is flying by... I started college almost four years ago and when I close my eyes, I sometimes still feel like a freshman. I still remember everyone telling me my freshman year to enjoy every second of it because it will go by extremely fast and when you are least expecting it, it will be over. Today I can tell you that I have enjoyed every part of it. Obviously, there were some days better than others but overall I am confident that I have fully prepared myself to what is waiting for me in one month after graduation.
We have one more tournament before postseason competition begins. We leave for San Francisco on Saturday and will play in the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday.
