LOS ANGELES -- For the second year in a row, the No. 24 Arizona volleyball team swept past No. 12 UCLA at Pauley Pavilion, defeating the Bruins 30-28, 30-21, 30-28 tonight. The Wildcats out-hit UCLA .291 to .197 and out-blocked the Bruins 8-5. With the win, Arizona improves to 13-8 overall and 5-6 in Pacific-10 play.
Sophomore Meghan Cumpston led the Wildcats with a career-high 24 kills, while junior Kim Glass put together a complete match -- 16 kills, 14 digs, five blocks and three service aces. Setter Stephanie Butkus finished with 53 assists and eight digs, while libero Kelli Mulvany notched a match-high 23 digs.
The Wildcats return home for a pair of matches against Oregon and Oregon State next Thursday and Friday, Nov. 4-5.
