Erica Blasberg Misses the Cut at the U.S. Women?s Open

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - University of Arizona women's golfer Erica Blasberg missed the cut by three strokes after finishing 8-over-par 150 in the second day of competition at the 2004 United States Women's Open.


            The junior-to-be from Corona, Calif., struggled on the back-nine, shooting 2 double bogeys on the 16th and 18th holes, but did snatched two of her three birdies of the day on the 12th and 13th holes.


            Other notable UA women's golf alumni who made the cut at the 2004 U.S. Women's Open include, Annika Sorenstam, Lorena Ochoa, Natalie Gulbis, and Jenna Daniels.


            The tournament is being held at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass., par 71 over 6,473 yards.
