TUCSON--Jade Lindly's two-run home run in the top of the sixth broke a tie and pushed Oklahoma State (7-3) to a 6-1 victory over New Mexico (3-10) in Game 8 of Arizona's Worth Invitational softball tournament.
OSU moved to 3-0 in the round-robin tourney, and dropped the Lobos to 1-3. Stephanie Nicholson led off the OSU thirdwith a single, was sacrificed to second by Calli Behmer and scored on a single by Brooke Siebel to give the Cowgirls a 1-0 lead.
New Mexico made it 1-1 with an RBI single by Ashley Shartzer in the bottom of the inning.
Megan Carey led off the OSU sixth with a double down the left field line to set up the Lindly's home run.
Oklahoma State added three runs in the seventh when Brooke Siebel walked, pinch runner Lacy Darity scored from first on a throwing error by pitcher Iraina Ogas and Megan Carey hit a two-run homer.
