Women's Golf to Compete in Hawaii

OAHU, Hawaii ?- The University of Arizona women’s golf team is set to compete in the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational March 20-21 hosted by the University of Hawaii.  The tournament is being held at the Kane’ohe Klipper Golf Course in Kane’ohe, Oahu, which is a par 72, 5,829 yard course.


The field of teams includes Arizona, Birmingham Southern College, BYU, Colorado State, Rollins College, Ohio State, Osaka Gakuin, Texas A&M, Hawaii, UH Hilo, Washington, UTEP, and Weber State.


Tee times begin at 7:30am with a shotgun start.  Practice rounds were held today.  Two rounds will be played on Tuesday and one round will be played on Wednesday.


Last years winner was Tennessee, who shot a tournament total of 856.  The individual champion was also a Lady Volunteer, Marci Turner, who carded a 210 after 54 holes.
