WACO, Texas - The Arizona softball team was scheduled to play a doubleheader Sunday only to have it canceled due to weather for the third consecutive day.

The teams were scheduled to begin the doubleheader at 10:00 a.m. CT. It rained throughout the morning, causing the cancelation of the first of the two games. The rain subsided shortly thereafter and a game was scheduled for 2:00 p.m. CT. The teams were about 90 minutes into warm ups when the field was deemed unsafe to play on and the game was canceled..

Arizona was scheduled to play three games against the Bears this weekend, and will leave Waco without facing BU once.

The preliminary plan to replace the lost games is to insert a series (not likely with Baylor) during Arizona's off-week 4/16-4/23.

This marks the first time in Arizona Softball history in which an entire series has been canceled due to rain.
