BERKELEY, ?Calif. ?C A two-out, two-run rally in the third proved enough for the No. 23 Cal Golden Bears to defeat The No. 10 Arizona Wildcats 3-1 here in Pac-10 action on Saturday afternoon.

?

Marissa Drewrey (20-6) limited Arizona to one earned run on four hits to earn the victory.

?

The Cats started early with the long ball when Jenae Leles smashed her ninth home run over the right centerfield wall to tally Arizonaˇ?s only run in the opening frame.

?

UA (24-9, 1-1) threatened again in the second when Callista Balko found herself on third with one out. ?

After two strikeouts in the Cal (32-11, 1-1) third, Valerie Arioto lined a double to right center, becoming the first Cal baserunner to reach second base. Taryne Mowatt then walked two straight to load the bases and bring Bernice Masaniai to the plate, who doubled over the head of Lastrapes in left to give the Bears the lead at 2-1. Mowatt struck out Sanoe Kekahuna to end the inning.

?

Cal added some insurance in the bottom of the sixth as Vernae Sevilla belted a double past Lauren Schutzler to score pinch-runner Savannah Hensley from first and bring the final margin across the plate.
