TUCSON - University of Arizona Wildcat women's golf head coach Laura Ianello has announced the addition of National Letter of Intent student-athlete Paige Spiranac to the squad for the 2011-12 season.

Spiranac is a native of Monument, Colo. but currently resides in Scottsdale, Ariz. and is home schooled by her mother, Annette Spiranac. She won this year's Colorado Junior Amateur and is currently ranked 107th in the junior Golfweek rankings.

Her list of accomplishments includes seven top-10 finishes and 11 top-20 finishes in junior events. She holds a low round of 72 and a low tournament of 217 (72-73-72) over three rounds and 145 (72-73) over two rounds.

"We are very excited to be adding Paige Spiranac to our roster for next season," head coach Laura Ianello said. "Paige is a great player with an impressive resume. (Assistant Coach) Justin (Silverstein) and I think she will make an immediate impact on our roster and will be a great fit to our team chemistry."

Arizona will play next when the spring season starts Feb. 6-8 with the Wildcat Invitational, in Tucson.
