WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Pac-10 Conference, in preparation for Colorado and Utah to officially join the league this summer, has released its new conference volleyball schedule for 2011.
Arizona, along with the other 11 conference schools, will feature a heavy 22-match conference schedule of very talented teams.
Last season, the league sent six teams into the NCAA Tournament with both USC and California playing its way to the national semifinals marking the sixth occasion in 10 seasons that the Pac-10 had two teams among the final four.
The Wildcats will open up its conference schedule with an unusual Tuesday match against in-state rival ASU in Tucson on Sept. 13. Following the weekday match, the traditional Friday-Saturday matches will resume with Arizona traveling to play the Oregon schools over Sept. 16-17.
Times for all the conference matches are still to be determined. Arizona's non-conference schedule will be released at a later date.
