TUCSON--Arizona chipped away, used four critical runs to come back and then hung on in overtime to defeat Western Kentucky, 86-81, for the championship of the Chase Fiesta Bowl Classic.

Hassan Adams' 23 points paced the Cats, 12 of those coming in the second half and two in overtime.

The game was tied at 75 at the end of regulation. UA's defense in the final five minutes proved key. The Cats forced two of WKU's 25 turnovers in the extra period and held the Hilltoppers to two-for-eight from the field in overtime.

The Hilltoppers forced the extra period with a 13-3 run that erased an Arizona 72-62 lead at the 4:07 mark -- after a 9-0 UA spurt  had built that margin in a brief two-minute span.

Western Kentucky led by seven at the half, and held a 10-point lead, 46-36, four minutes into the second half. But UA went on a 12-4 run to tie the game and take the lead on Mustafa Shakur's layup and free throw at the 13:16 mark.

Chris Rodgers addefd 19 for Arizona, which also had double-figures scoring from Marcus Williams with 14 and Mustafa Shakur with 11. WKU was led by  22 by Anthony Winchester and 21 by Courtney Lee.
