This tournament marks the final appearance for the Wildcats in the fall season. The women golfers have three months off before returning to the course Feb. 13-15 at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge in
“The fall season is really a great chance for everyone to get back into the swing of things and practice before the spring,” Head Coach Greg Allen said. “It is an excellent chance for our freshman to get a taste of collegiate golf before the ?'real season’ starts in the sping.”
Thus far, the Wildcats have had a successful fall season. The junior varsity team finished third in its first tournament and the varsity team finished fifth and seventh in two tournaments.

The Anthem Country Club course is a par 72, stretching 6,194 yards. This is the first time that the Wildcats have competed in the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown.
Competing for the Cats will be groups of seniors and freshmen, including Cassandra Kirkland, Lauren Espinosa, Lani Elston-Marshall, Amanda Wilson and Whitney Welch. Junior Rachel Gavin will compete as an individual.
“We want to go into the off season on a positive note,” Allen said. “We feel like every time out we are getting better and we’re hoping the momentum from our last round at Stanford will carry into next week.”
