2005-06 Season: Was a six-time first team All-American... Contributed to three of the four first-place NCAA Championship relays for Arizona... Also finished second in the 100 fly (46.02), seventh in the 100 back (46.89) and swam the third leg of the second-place 200 free relay... At the 2006 Pac-10 Championships, swam the first leg of the second?-place 200 medley relay... Also finished fourth in the 100 back (48.58) and eighth in the 100 fly (47.58)... Against Arizona State, swam the first leg of the first-place 200 medley relay and finished third in the 100 fly (49.94)... Finished second in the 100 back and 100 fly, while contributing to three first-place relays against Texas... Against California, finished third in the 100 fly (48.42)... Anchored the fist-place 400 free relay against Stanford and finished third in the 50 free (20.62)...  Against Washington, won the 100 fly (49.13) and swam the first leg of the first-place 200 free relay... At the 2005 Texas Invitational, finished second in the 100 back (47.48) and in the 100 fly (46.84) while contributing to all four first-place relays... Against UCSB, placed second in the 200 free (1:41.54) and swam the first leg of the first-place 400 medley relay... Swam the third leg of the first-place 400 medley relay against USC... In the season opener against Wisconsin, won the 100 fly, finished second in the 100 free and swam the first leg of the first-place 400 medley relay.

 

 

2004-05 Season: Was a first team All-American... At the NCAA Championships, contributed to a new school record by swimming the third leg of the third-place 200 medley relay... At the Pac-10 Championships, finished 12th in the 100 fly (48.50)...  Against ASU, finished fourth in the 200 fly (54.67)... Against Stanford, swam the third leg of the second-place 400 medley relay... Swam the third leg of the first-place 400 medley relay against British Colombia... Swam the third leg of the first-place 200 medley relay and the 400 free relay at the 2004 Texas Invitational... Swam the first leg of the first-place 200 free relay against Wisconsin.

 

National & International Competition: 2006- Finished second in the 100 fly at the World (short course meters) Championships in Shanghai (51.23) China...Competed for Venezuela in the 2004 Olympics in Athens Greece... Was the Central American champion and record holder in the 50 and 100 fly, as well as the 100 free

 

Prep: Competed for the Hogar Hispano Swim Club, where he placed third at the Venezuelan Nationals... Was club team captain from 2000-2004.

 

Personal: Born Albert Subirats on Sept. 25, 1986, in Valencia, Venezuela... Son of Antonio and Montserrat Subirats... Has two brothers, Eric, 24, and David, 17... Eric plays tennis for the University of Louisiana...Major is undecided.
