The Arizona Wildcat men's tennis team fell, 5-2, to the San Diego State Aztecs at LaNelle Robson Tennis Center. The Cats dropped the doubles point but fought back hard to clinch two singles matches.
"We were right in there. San Diego State played well. We almost snuck out the doubles point. There is a lot of youth to our team. I believe in them, they just need to believe in themselves, I think is what it comes down to. I think our guys got it, they just really have to believe in themselves."
The Cats were swept in doubles action but forced two of three matches to nine games. On court two, Kieren Thompson and Sumeet Shinde were first to finish in their match with Thorsten Bertsch and Derek Siddiqui. The duo was edged, 8-4.
