Arizona Swimming & Diving Teams Remain Ranked in Top Five

TUCSON, Ariz. - In the College Swimming Coaches Association of America rankings released on Thursday, the Arizona women's swimming and diving team held onto the third spot in the top-25 rankings, while receiving one first-place vote. Arizona women trail Georgia, which climbed to the number one spot, and UCLA who fell to the number two spot in the poll. The UA men's team fell from the fourth spot in last week's poll to fifth this week. Texas, Stanford, Texas A&M and Auburn are ahead of Arizona in this week's rankings.

The Wildcat men's and women's swimming and diving teams are in Austin, Texas, Dec. 1-3 to compete in the prestigious Texas Invitational. Invited teams on the women's side include No. 2 UCLA, No. 3 Arizona, No. 4 Stanford, No. 5 California, No. 10 Texas, No. 12 Wisconsin, No. 13 Michigan, No. 15 Southern Methodist, No. 16 Arizona State, Nebraska, Rice and Texas Christian. Invited men's teams include No. 1 Texas, No. 5 Arizona, No. 7 California, No. 9 Michigan, No. 12 Arizona State, No. 19 Southern Methodist, No. 22 Harvard, No. 25 Wisconsin, Nebraska, Kansas and Texas Christian.
