No. 19 Arizona Gymnastics finishes third at Denver

Denver, Colo. (March 22) - The No. 19 University of Arizona women's gymnastics team finished third in a tri-meet against host No. 18 Denver and West Virginia with a score of 193.600 on Saturday, March 22 in Denver's Champions Gymnastics Academy. With the loss, Arizona drops to 4-10, 1-5 in the season.

In a meet that was supposedly cancelled due to exterior wall damage caused by the snow, the Wildcats managed scores of 48.775 on vault, 48.125 on bars, 48.250 on beam and 48.450 on floor.

Individually for Arizona, sophomore Monica Bisordi tied for first-place honors on beam with a mark of 9.875. Sophomore Jamie Duce contributed with a mark of 9.825 on bars for third place honors and sophomore Jamie Schell tied for third place honors on beam with a mark of 9.825. Junior Andi McCabe scored a mark of 9.875 to place fifth on vault.

Arizona will head to Los Angeles, Calif. for the 2003 Pac-10 Championships on Saturday, March 29 at 6 p.m. (PST). The meet will be hosted by UCLA and held at Pauley Pavilion.
