TUCSON, Ariz. - University of Arizona soccer coach Dan Tobias, who in his first five seasons has led the Wildcats to a Pacific-10 Conference Championship and a berth in the Sweet Sixteen, and his staff have signed seven players to National Letters of Intent for the 2008 season.

The class includes two players each from Arizona, midfielder Jessica Culver and forward Brittany Cole, and California, forward Renae Cuellar and defender Brooke Harrison, and one each from Texas, goalkeeper Ashley Jett, Nevada, goalkeeper Jenna Riddle, and Colorado, defender Amy Steiner.

"We are so excited about 2008 class because we believe that not only do we have great student athletes to join the Arizona family, more importantly we have outstanding people join our family," Tobias said.

"We have always placed a huge emphasis on surrounding the program with what we think are the best people so we are very excited about what these seven student-athletes and their families bring to the U of A family. We look forward to working with them so that they have the best possible Wildcat student-athlete experience. On the field, we all continue to strive towards our ultimate goal: winning our first national championship for the Arizona soccer program.
