Saturday’s game vs. Team Georgia will begin at Noon

TUCSON, Ariz. ?- The University of Arizona men's basketball team will open the exhibition portion of the 2006-07 schedule against Team Georgia on Saturday, Nov. 4.  The contest will tip-off at Noon MST.

With 11 squadmen returning from last season’s club and a No 10 preseason ranking according to the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll, Arizona will face outside competition for the first time this year.  Team Georgia is a collection of former college players based in Atlanta.

The start time of Saturday’s basketball was moved to Noon to avoid a conflict with the scheduled start of Saturday’s Arizona at Washington State football game in Pullman, Wash., which will start at 2 p.m. PST.

The back-to-back games has necessitated an adjustment in the radio broadcast availability.  The men’s basketball game will be carried live on KTUC AM 1400.  That broadcast will feature a one-hour pregame show, which begins at 11 a.m., and a 45-minute postgame show.  Ryan Radtke will handle the play-by-play, while Ryan Hansen will add color commentary.

The football game will air as usual on KCUB AM 1290 and KHYT FM 107.5.  Brian Jeffries will call the action, while Lamont Lovett will add color commentary.
