General:  Another of the growing list of Wildcats from the Houston area (there are three) ... Carries a strong physical presence ... A relentless rebounder who possesses a steady mid-range jump shot ... Unselfishly came out of a redshirt midway through the season and made solid contributions on both ends of the court ... Freshman (2005-06):  Posted two boards and a block on 3/17 vs. Wisconsin in NCAA Tournament debut ... Collected two steals and a rebound in 10 minutes vs. UCLA on 3/10 ... Tallied two points and collected a board on 3/9 vs. Stanford ... Hit all four FG attempts and equaled season highs with nine points in 18 minutes played on 2/25 vs. Arizona State ... Collected a board in 10 minutes vs. Washington State on 3/2 ... Missed only FG attempt in six minutes at Stanford on 2/19 ... Tallied four points and two assists on 2/16 at California ... Set new season highs with six rebounds and five FG attempts (made three) on 2/11 vs. Oregon State ... Played just one minute vs. Oregon on 2/9 ... Tallied two points, two boards, two blocks and an assist on 2/4 at UCLA ... Hit all four field goals to go with three rebounds and an assist on 2/2 at USC ... High School:   Signed with Arizona during the November Early Signing Period ... Ranked as the No. 13 small forward prospect in the nation by rivals.com ... A three-year letterwinner at Alief Taylor High School ... Averaged 16.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 blocked shots per game as a senior ... Led Lions to a 28-9 record in 2004-05 for coach Jeff Dunford ... A three-time all-district honoree who also earned first-team all-city and all-region accolades as a senior ... A McDonald’s All-America nominee ... Played in the 2005 Global Games on the same team with current Wildcats J.P. Prince and Marcus Williams, July 23-30, in Dallas, Texas, and averaged 3.8 points and 3.5 rebounds, while shooting 47.8 percent (11-of-23) from the floor in six games ... Averaged 15.3 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3.2 blocked shots per game as a junior ... An honor roll student who was a cum laude graduate (top 15 percent of his graduating class) ... A member of the National Honor Society.
