Arizona Head Coach Sean Miller

"This was a very special game. When I was the head coach at Xavier, Dana Altman was the head coach at Creighton, and there were four seasons where we played against each other. We are very familiar with each other's styles, and he is a great coach. Oregon is rebuilding, and they are going to emerge as a very tough team. Joevan Catron, their senior, was terrific."

"Our defense slipped tonight, and we talked about that back in the locker room. We really need to get back to playing better defense. Even so, that pales to the fact that we won the conference championship. There was magic in McKale Center during and after the game, and this is an unforgettable Saturday."

"Back when we went on the road to face N.C. State, I knew we were a special team. There was a lot at stake back in December, and the way we performed under pressure brought us a big road win. We were getting better, and I knew we were going to do a lot in conference. We established long ago, back in the preseason that we had depth and we were going to get a lot out of it. We've practiced 85 times, and they all matter. There are so many contributors in practice, and they come out and do the same on the court."

"This year, we are all a lot more comfortable with facing the zone style of defense. What is important to remember is that every team is different every year, so we as players and coaches have to adjust. We're just a lot more comfortable. Zones usually try to take Derrick out, which gives us an open shot, but we all share the ball. Actually, our best offensive performances have been when we faced the zone."

"Solomon Hill has taken some big steps this season. One of the hardest things to do as a young player is to put behind a bad performance, like his experience in LA. He didn't do well, but he worked hard in practice this week, and really did leave it behind him. At times he was the best in the game against Oregon State, and he is a big reason that we got both these wins today."

"For the most part, we have our offense figured out. We're not perfect, but we know what we do well. We shoot the three well, we're balanced, we have the go-to game-changer, and we get to the foul line a lot. Defense is what we need to be tougher on. If we played today's defense all season, things would be very different. Going to LA, we need to be ready to compete, especially on defense."

"One of the reasons I wanted to come here is because of this court. When I was a player, I played here, and this is a very hard place to win at. Back then, the players were extremely talented as were the coaches, and for me, it was about seeing how Tucson, the student section, and the university support the team. There are not a lot of better places to be in the country than on a Saturday with the Pac-10 Champions."

Arizona Player Quotes

Derrick Williams
On winning the Pac-10 title:
"It's amazing. It's the reason I came here. It's the reason we all came here to just try to win the Pac-10. It's the first step and now hopefully we can win the Pac-10 championship too."

On everyone splitting the minutes:
"I believe everyone knows their roles. Last year we tried just as individuals to win and you just have to give up something. Everyone sacrifices a little bit to win."

On Sean Miller's impact:
"A lot, the main goal was for if you're a shooter to shoot, and if you are a defensive player than you know your role on defense."

On the possibility of winning Pac-10 Player of the Year:
"I don't really care about that. If I win it, I win it. I'm just trying to win. All the individual stuff will come later."

On the chants of `One more year':
"All I'm going to say is I'm just trying to win and focus on these games coming up."

Solomon Hill

On playing at home:
"The beginning of last year we didn't look at the schedule and teams, the main point coming into conference was to play hard and at home be dangerous."

On cutting down the net and running up through the ZonaZoo:
"We knew about the net. Even if we shared it we were going to do it. MoMo (Jones) put it together though, he said, `We are going to thank ZonaZoo' and so he led and we followed.'"

Kevin Parrom

On the environment:
"No matter the environment we just feed off the energy and keep winning."
