University of Arizona women's basketball player Krista Warren has been named to the Verizon Academic All-District VIII third team, announced the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) awards committee on Thursday.

The senior forward from Cloverdale, Calif., has a 3.384 grade-point average with a major in studio art and a minor in religious studies. A starter in all 24 contests this season, Warren is second in rebounding for the Cats, averaging 7.2 boards per game, and is the team's fourth-leading scorer, at 11.5 ppg.
