TUCSON - Four members of the No. 7 University of Arizona women's golf team earned all-conference awards from the Pac-10, it was announced on the Tuesday. The Wildcats earned their fifth runner-up finish in program history at last week's Pac-10 Women's Golf Championships.
Junior Isabelle Boineau earned her second career accolade from the Pac-10 and was named first-team All-Pac-10 for her efforts during the 2011 season. Boineau was Arizona's top finisher at the 2011 Pac-10 Championships with a tie for fourth place.
Junior Margarita Ramos was named second-team All-Pac-10 for the 2011 season and has now earned conference honors during her sophomore (first team) and junior campaigns. She was Arizona's fourth finisher at the conference tournament and finished tied for 13th place.
Senior Alejandra Llaneza and sophomore Kyndall Ardoin were both named honorable mention All-Pac-10. Llaneza picked up her third career honor while Ardoin was recognized by the Pac-10 for the first time in her young career. Ardoin was the Wildcats' second finisher at the Pac-10 Championships with her tied for sixth-place finish. Llaneza rounded out the group of five with a tied for 29th-place finish.
For the fourth-straight season, Arizona women's golf will play in the NCAA West Regional Championships, May 5-7, at Seattle's Washington National Golf Course, it was announced by the NCAA selection committee on Monday.
