Women's Tennis Suffers Second Straight Loss

DENVER, Colo. - The No. 34 University of Arizona women's tennis team suffered its second straight loss of the season to No. 58 Denver, 65-2. With the loss the Wildcats fall to 1-2 on the season while the Pioneers improve to 2-1.

Denver swept the three doubles matches to get the early 1-0 lead. They were able to clinch the victory by winning four of the six singles matches.

In singles, Juliette Mavroleon and Tina Razloznik won to give Arizona two points. Mavroleon defeated Julia Bauregger, 6-3, 6-3, at the No. 2 spot. Razloznik, in the No. 5 position, beat Kyla Iwinski, 6-0, 6-2.

Arizona will return home next weekend to take on Fresno State. The Wildcats will face the Bulldogs at noon on Saturday, Feb. 3.
