CHICAGO, Ill. - Arizona Women's Golf Head Coach Greg Allen was selected to serve as the treasurer of the National Golf Coaches Association Board of Directors for the upcoming season.

Allen and nine other individuals will govern over the NGCA during the 2004-05 season. Joining Allen, NGCA President Denise St. Pierre, Vice President Kelley Hester, Secretary Kristi Coggins, Immediate past President Therese Hession, Director at Large Sally Austin, Division II representative Lori Stinson, Division III representative Kathy Niepagen, Executive Director of the NGCA Roger Yaffe and Meetings and Event Manager of the NGCA J'neen Wolfe.

Just completing his fourth season at Arizona, Allen has kept the UA women's golf team at the top of the women's collegiate golf scene. Under Allen's leadership Arizona has enjoyed nine team tournament titles and an astonishing 21 individual titles. Allen came to Arizona in 2000 after serving as an assistant coach of the University of Texas men's golf program, where he helped lead the 1999-00 Longhorns to a banner year which included the NCAA Central Region championship and a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championship.
