TUCSON, Ariz.- Arizona head volleyball coach David Rubio announced today the suspension of starting outside hitter Shannon Torregrosa. The suspension, due to conduct detrimental to the team, is indefinite in nature.

"Shannon needs to show that she is ready to make a commitment to the team," Rubio said. "It's really up to her how long the suspension will last."

Torregrosa, who leads the team in attempts and is second in kills, will be replaced in the starting lineup by sophomore Christina Frost.

The seventh-ranked Wildcats will take on rival Arizona State in McKale Center on Friday and then head to the Bay Area to play fourth-ranked Stanford and California on Sunday and Monday.
