TUCSON , Ariz. ?C ?University of Arizona menˇ?s basketball player Jamelle Horne has been cleared to return to action following an MRI exam of his left knee Friday morning.

?

Horne, a 6-foot-6, 204-pound freshman forward from San Diego, Calif., is averaging 3.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.3 assists in 17 games (four starts) this season. He is shooting 50.0 percent (23-of-46) from the field to go with five blocked shots. Heˇ?s scored in double figures twice this season, including a career-high 15 points on Nov. 21 against Adams State College.

Horne sat out Thursdayˇ?s practice due to swelling in his left knee.??He underwent an MRI exam this morning and after a review of the film, doctors were optimistic about the results and feel his return to competition will be based on his pain and comfort level.

Arizona (15-7, 5-4 Pac-10) will next be in action on Sunday, Feb. 10, when the team hosts Arizona State. The game is scheduled to tip off at 12:30 p.m. MST and can be seen nationally on Fox Sports Net.
