TUCSON - The University of Arizona women's basketball team is set for a pair of televised games during the 2009-10 season with the possibility of three others being added to the slate at a later date.

The Wildcats will hit the road to take on Mountain West Conference foe San Diego State on November 21 in a game that will be aired on The Mtn., a channel dedicated to MWC athletics.

Late in the season, the Cats will host in-state rival Arizona State on Sunday, January 24 in an afternoon tip that will be televised by Fox Sports Net. The two teams may also have their return match in Tempe picked up by FSN on Saturday, February 20.

One week after their trip to Tempe, the Wildcats will host Stanford on Senior Day. That game as well as the regular season finale at UCLA on Saturday, March 6 are FSN Wildcard games. The network will choose between various Pac-10 games for that television slot.

Arizona made three appearances on FSN last season and posted a 2-1 record in those games. After dropping its first televised game at Arizona State, the Wildcats rebounded with an impressive win at USC before pulling away from Oregon in the Pink Zone game.

All games will once again be broadcast on KTUC AM 1400 in Tucson with Derrick Palmer and Alysiah Bond calling all of the action for the second season.

Currently, The Mtn. is carried by Cox cable services as part of its Sports Tier while Direct TV also provides the channel to its sports tier subscribers.
