Women's Tennis to Begin Dual Meet Play This Weekend

Tucson, Ariz. - The Arizona women's tennis team will host three dual meets this weekend. The Wildcats' first meet is against Kansas State on Friday at noon. They host San Diego on Saturday and New Mexico on Sunday. Those matches are also scheduled to begin at noon.

The Wildcats were impressive this past weekend at the Pac-10 Indoor Championships. UA Freshman Maja Mlakar led the team with a 2-1 singles record. One of those victories came against UCLA's Megan Bradley who is ranked No. 7. Mlakar was teamed with sophomore Debbie Larocque in doubles when they upset top-seeded and No. 8 ranked Petya Marinova and Sara Walker of UCLA.

In the Polls: Kansas State is ranked No. 52, just one spot behind Arizona. San Diego is ranked No. 53 and New Mexico is ranked No. 58.

Kansas State is led by No. 70 ranked Alena Jacminkova. Jacminkova is also ranked in doubles with teammate Andrea Cooper at No. 58.
