Atlanta ?C The Arizona volleyball team earned its second sweep of the day with a win over Western Carolina (3-7) on Saturday at the Regency Suites Classic.? Game scores were 30-17, 30-19 and 30-24.? The Wildcats improve to 7-2 on the season and finish the Regency Suites Classic as the only undefeated team in the tournament.

As a team, Arizona hit a season-high .439 (51-8-98) from the floor, and tallied nine blocks and eight service aces, while holding Western Carolina to a .105 (32-21-105) hitting percentage.

Individually for Arizona, sophomore Jacy Norton led the way with a career-high13 kills on .750 (13-1-16) hitting to go with five blocks.? Junior Randy Goodenough posted her?fourth double-double of the season with 12 kills and 12 digs, and freshman Paige Weber finished with 41 assists and nine digs.? Senior Dominique Lamb and freshman Tiffany Owens both finished with exactly nine kills on .571 (9-1-14) hitting.

In game one, Arizona jumped out to an early 10-4 lead and never looked back, cruising to a 30-17 game-one win.? The Wildcats posted a .371 (16-3-35) hitting percentage in first game.

UA dominated the second game behind a .654 (17-0-26) hitting percentage, and did not record an attack error to roll to a 30-19 win.?

The Wildcats completed the sweep with a .351 (18-5-37) hitting percentage in the third game, holding the Catamounts to a .265 (15-6-34) mark.? Arizona and WCU battled early, as the game was tied at 10-10 early on.? The Catamounts chipped away at the Wildcat lead the rest of the way, but could not get close down the stretch, as the UA notched a 30-24 win.

Arizona returns home to host the Four Points University Plaza Arizona Invitational Friday-Saturday, Sept. 14-15 in McKale Center.? Arizona will face Cal State Bakersfield (10 a.m.) and UC Irvine (7 p.m.) on Friday, and Davidson on Saturday (12 p.m.).
