RENO, Nev. ?- University of Arizona women’s golf assistant coach Jody Dansie has left the program to become the University of Nevada at Reno head women’s golf coach, which was announced on Friday.
“This is an exciting opportunity to jump into a Head Coach job with both feet. It is also a good opportunity for my husband to move up in his career and for us to be closer to our families.” Dansie said.
Dansie came to Arizona in 2002 after participating one season on the SBC Futures Tour and one season on the LPGA Tour where she took part in 22 events.
She played her collegiate years at Arizona State where she was a two time All-Americans and a three time Pac-10 selection. Dansie was also a member of the NCAA Sun Devil championship teams in 1997 and 1998.
“It’s sad because I have enjoyed working with Greg [Allen] and the girls. It’s tough to leave. The athletic department here at the University of Arizona has been fantastic, they welcome a Sun Devil into a Wildcat family.” Dansie said stated on Friday.
