On the loss to Oregon:
"We played as physical and as energy charged a game as we have played this year. We knew we had to make a conscious effort to play differently against Oregon. I am pleased with the way we played. We played an entire 60-minute ball game. We were not as efficient in the second half as we were in the first half, but we certainly gave effort throughout the game."
On senior wide receiver Bobby Wade:
"We really like to spread it around more, but Jason has a lot of confidence in Bobby. He runs great routes, and he gets open. He is a great competitor of the highest order. We need to do our best to distribute the ball more evenly to the other receivers so that teams can't double up on Bobby all the time."
On redshirt freshman halfback Mike Bell:
"Mike Bell did a nice job. He had a touchdown pass, and he ran hard. It is difficult for a first-year player to know exactly how the game unfolds. He will have to do a better job of reading the runs because now he has a role where he has to carry a lot of responsibility."
On the Wildcat defense:
"The defense made some plays last night, and we were moving around a little more and close to the football. Oregon did an excellent job of running the power play. We had young corners in there, and they worked our corners quite a bit. Gary Love played a good game, and they threw a lot of balls at him. We weren't as sharp or as good as we can be, but we will be better this week. We just have to continue to work and be ready to play."
