Arizona Softball Splits Series with Top-Ranked UCLA

TUCSON, Ariz. - No. 2 Arizona (39-4 overall, 3-2 Pac-10) split the softball series with top-ranked UCLA (40-3, 3-3 Pac-10) this weekend at Easton Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif.

Junior pitcher Jennie Finch struck out eleven and allowed only two hits in the Wildcats 4-0 win on Saturday. Freshman Mackenzie Vandergeest hit her 14th home run of the season.

On Sunday, the Bruins Amanda Freed’s two runs lifted UCLA to a 3-0 victory over the Cats.

Arizona will play host to Arizona State on Friday, April 13 and Saturday, April 14 at 7 p.m. at Hillenbrand Stadium.
