TUCSON - Junior guard Davellyn Whyte, a member of the University of Arizona Wildcat women's basketball team, was named an Associated Press All-America Honorable Mention honoree, it was announced on Tuesday. Whyte earned the second national accolade of her career as she was named to the 2010 Full Court Press Freshman All-America Second Team.

Whyte earned her third-straight all-conference honor this season. Second in the Pac-12 in scoring with 17.0 ppg, she had two 30-point games this season and her 10 20-point performances ties for the third most in the league this year. She also recorded six double-doubles and seven double-digit rebounding games.

Also a two-time all-conference selection by the Pac-12 media, Whyte paced Arizona with 17.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.6 steals per game this season. She started all 32 contests and led Arizona to the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Tournament. Among Pac-12 players, she ranked in the top five in four of the major statistical categories: scoring (17.0), steals (2.6), three-point field goal percentage (.368) and three-point field goals made (2.2).
