Freshman RENAE CUELLAR was named to the All-Pac-10 Freshman team and an honorable mention selection Thursday, Nov. 13. Cuellar was the only Wildcat named to a post season conference award.

“I am pretty happy and excited about the announcement,” Cuellar said. “I put a lot of pressure on myself because I have high expectations. All the hard I put in, paid off.”

A native of La Puente, Calif. Cuellar played in 19 games for the Wildcats and started 18 of them. She was tied with teammates Karina Camacho and LONDON KING for most goals on the team with five. Cuellar was second on the team with 12 points.

“I am very excited and proud of Renae,” head coach Dan Tobias said. “It is quite the accomplishment especially in the conference we play in. This just shows you the impact she had on our team as a freshman. To be one of 30 players recognized in the best conference in the country is a great thing for Renae and for the Arizona Wildcats.”
