TEMPE, Ariz. - Sophomore Alejandra Llaneza shot a 5-under round of 67 to share third place overall after two rounds of the PING/ASU Invitational, Saturday afternoon at the ASU Karsten Golf Course.

Twenty-four hours after shooting one of her highest totals of the season, Llaneza carded her best round of 2008-09 as she tallied five birdies and countered a double bogey on the 3rd hole with an eagle on the par-5 14th hole.

Llaneza shares third place at 1-under par through two rounds with first round co-leader Jodi Ewart of New Mexico. Lizette Salas shot a tournament-low round of 66 on Saturday to hold the overall lead at 5-under 139. The Wildcats were +15 on the day and sit in 7th place at 602, one shot behind New Mexico. The host Sun Devils hold the overall lead at 9-over 585.

Freshman Margarita Ramos bounced back from her worst round of the season to shoot 77 in windy conditions to trim six shots off her score. Nikki Koller is second on the scoreboard for the Wildcats at +8 overall while Amanda Wilson sits at +13. Brittany Benvenuto rounds out the team at +15.

Freshman Isabelle Boineau, who is playing the event as an individual, shot 79 on Saturday and is in a tie for 29th place with Koller at 8-over par.

The Wildcats wrap up play in the tournament on Sunday morning with a shotgun start sending the players out at 7:30 a.m.
