OKLAHOMA CITY -- Arizona's softball team will play Washington at 6 p.m. (CDT) on Sunday for a berth in the WCWS Championship Series, after UA defeated the Huskies 2-0 earlier in the day.

The game was locked 0-0 in the bottom of the sixth, when UA rallied for a pair of runs.  Jenae Leles hit a one-out single to right-center -- one of two hits for the sophomore on the afternoon.  She was lifted for pinch runner Jill Malina who moved to second an out later on a Laine Roth walk.  Then, with two on and two out, Sam Banister stroked a two-run double that reached the right-center field fence.

That would be all the offense Taryne Mowatt (39-11) needed, as the NFCA All-American shut the Huskies out in a four-hit, eight-strikeout effort.  Mowatt has not allowed an earned run in 29 innings pitched in four WCWS games.

The Wildcats improved to 47-13-1, while the Huskies dropped to 42-18.

With a win in the 6 p.m. game, Arizona would reach the title game/series for the 12th time in program history.  UA has reached the title game in every season following a national championship.
