CORVALLIS, Ore.- A night after downing Oregon 3-0, the 19th-ranked Arizona volleyball team completed its two-match road trip with a sweep over Oregon State (6-11, 1-7 Pac-10). Game scores of the match were 30-21, 30-27, 30-19. The victory extended Arizona's (10-7, 5-4 Pac-10) winning streak to 12 straight matches over the Beavers.
Led by freshman Kim Glass' 12 kills, four different Arizona players finished the match with 10 or more kills. Classmate Bre Ladd added 11 kills on .500 hitting, two digs and two block assists.
Seniors Lisa Rutledge and Shannon Torregrosa each posted double-doubles with 10 kills apiece and 10 and 11 digs, respectively. Redshirt freshman Angie Ayers was a wall at the net, posting a match-high seven block assists in the win and also had a match-high three aces at the service line.
The Wildcats hit .285 as a team, while limiting the Beavers to just a .152 attack percentage. Arizona out-blocked the OSU 11 to 3 and had eight service aces to Oregon State's one.
Arizona returns to action next Friday with a match against rival Arizona State. The Wildcats will look to avenge a 3-0 loss to the Sun Devils in September. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
