Arizona Men?s Tennis Doubles Advance at NCAA Championships

College Station, Texas ?- Arizona men’s tennis top pair of No. 20 senior Colin O’Grady and junior Roger Matalonga advanced to the Round of 16, at the NCAA Championships after defeating Hamid Mirzadeh and Greg Ouellette of Florida.


In their afternoon match, Arizona’s top pair was easily able to defeat Mirzadeh and Ouellette, in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.


With their win this afternoon, O’Grady and Matalonga are set for a re-match against Ryler DeHeart and GD Jones of Illinois tomorrow afternoon. Matalonga and O’Grady faced off against DeHeart and Jones last fall, in the NCAA Indoor Championships, where Matalonga and O’Grady fell to the pair, 9-7. Start time for tomorrow’s match will be determined once singles action concludes in the morning.
