Dec. 10, 2002

TUCSON, Ariz. (Dec. 10) - University of Arizona women's soccer assistant coach Casey Mann has resigned from his position, announced head coach Cathy Klein on Tuesday.

Mann is leaving the Wildcat program to continue his coaching career in his home state of Iowa, and his last day with the team will be Jan. 17, 2003. Mann joined the Arizona coaching staff just before the 2001 season, after stints as a head coach in the Des Moines club system and the Iowa Olympic Development Program.

"Casey has made many great contributions to our young, developing program," said Klein. "We are grateful for all of the effort he has put into our program over the last two seasons, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors."

The search for a replacement will begin immediately.
