Have you always wanted to get involved with the Women's Basketball team, but never knew how? Well, your University of Arizona Women's Basketball team has two great opportunities for you!

Little Dribblers is a youth program designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball while improving ball handling skills. This program is designed for girls and boys, 3rd-8th grade, and begins November 10th at 7 p.m. in McKale Memorial Center. Jaamal Rhodes, our Video Coordinator, will hold practices along with several of the current Women's Basketball players. Participants have a few selected halftime performances during the women's basketball season. In addition to learning the game of basketball with your favorite players and coaches, each Little Dribbler will receive:

• An official Little Dribblers t-shirt

• One pass to get in to all women's home games

• A pizza party with the Arizona Women's Basketball Team

There is a registration fee of $50.00. All practices are held in McKale Memorial Center. Practices will be twice a month on a Tuesday or Wednesday night from 7-8 p.m. Walk-ups are welcome.

The Ball Kids program is for boys and girls, 5th-8th grade, and allows you to work during the Women's Basketball games. You will be working directly with the Women's Basketball team, helping out with ball distribution and assisting the officials with on-court management and cleanliness. Please indicate all games that you are available to work. Keep in mind that not all games are guaranteed but we do promise a minimum of three games. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• In charge of handing out balls in warm-up and at half time, collecting them at the conclusion of both, and rolling the cart to the designated area under the bleachers; for storage during the game.

• During the game you are to sit to one side (opposite camera man) of the basket on the floor. There will be two Ball Kids per basket.

• During time outs, one of you will be wiping up the floor inside the 3 point line with a towel and/or mop while the other is taking water and a towel to the referees on your side of the floor. When placing the mops BEHIND the baskets please be sure that each mop is flat. There is a chance that a team member, ref, or anyone else working by the basket could trip.

• Five minutes prior to the start of the second half, you will need to be at half court with the ball rack ready to pass out balls to both teams, and collect them again when both teams are finished.

• At the end of the game, you will collect all the towels from the baskets and take them to the home bench, along with your mops and Pac-10 shirt.

• When entering and exiting the floor please make sure to take the ball cart with you. During the game, the ball cart is to be placed under the bleachers to the right of the home bench.

• Ball kids are required to pay attention to the game at ALL times. There is a possibility you will be needed when the ball is in play. Please DO NOT leave the basket unattended during the game. For example: do not both leave go to the bathroom at the same time; take turns if a restroom break is needed.

• If a cancellation is needed please do your best to inform us as soon as you can, so that we can try and get a replacement.
