<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><B style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">WACO</B></st1:City><B style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">, <st1:State w:st="on">Texas</st1:State> ? </B>The second-ranked <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Arizona</st1:place></st1:State> (17-5) softball team lost to No. 14 Baylor (24-5) by a 3-2 margin for the second consecutive day at BU&rsquo;s Getterman Stadium on Sunday.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Pitcher Taryne Mowatt (11-5) was charged with the loss, as she scattered nine hits and three walks while giving up three runs in 6.2 innings pitched.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Baylor pitcher Lisa Ferguson (10-3) limited the Wildcat offense to one earned run on four hits and two walks.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><st1:State w:st="on">Arizona</st1:State> put pressure on <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Ferguson</st1:City></st1:place> and the BU defense early, tallying a pair of runs in the top of the first.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Chelsie Mesa led off the afternoon with an infield single to extend her hit streak to 19 games.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>One out and two Wildcat walks later, Sam Banister hit a groundball that BU second baseman Alex Colyer mishandled allowing two runs ? one earned and one unearned ? to score.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>However, those would be UA&rsquo;s only runs of the afternoon.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">The Lady Bears cut the two-run deficit in half, as Tiffany Wesley personally manufactured a run.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The left fielder led off with an infield single, advanced to second on a wild pitch, stole third and then scored on a sacrifice fly.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Mowatt pitched her way out of a jam in the fourth inning, in which, Baylor stranded runners on the corners.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Mowatt surrendered a leadoff walk to Ashley Monceaux and retired the next two batters, but not before Monceaux advanced to second on a groundball and to third on a Colyer single.
