TUCSON, Ariz. -

Senior volleyball player Cursty Jackson (Los Angeles, Calif.) received pacific all-region honorable mention honors, the AVCA announced on Tuesday.

Jackson joins five other athletes from five different schools in the pacific region, including Northern Colorado’s Amanda Arterbum, USC’s Katie Fuller, California’s Shannon Hawari, Oregon’s Lauren Plum and Pepperdine’s Kellie Woolever.

In 2010, Arizona’s Tiffany Owens was selected to the same team and was the school’s first representative on the team since Kim Glass and Jen Abernathy were first-team selections in 2005.

In 2011, Jackson capitalized on her senior season, posting 332 total kills out of 716 attempts for a team-high .291 hitting percentage. She also led the Wildcats in blocks with 102. Last week, Jackson’s play earned her a spot on the All-Pac 12 team.

Arizona ended its season last Friday with a loss to Michigan State in the first round of the tournament.
