SOPHOMORE (1999-2000): At the 2000 NCAA Championships, earned four All-America honors in the 200 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay and the 800 freestyle relay... Won the 800m freestyle relay, recording a time of 7:55.51... Earned the runner-up spot in the 400m free relay (3:38.89)... Placed third 200m free relay with a time of 1:40.61... Finished eighth in the 200m free (1:58.96)... Swam to a 12th place finish in the 100m free (55.44)... Came in 14th in the 200m individual medley (2:14.17)... At the 2000 Pac-10 Championships, swam the third leg for the 200 free relay squad that finished third in a time of 1:33.18... Finished fifth in the finals of the 200 free (1:48.04), seventh in the 200 IM (2:02.41) and 10th in the 100 free (50.78)... Holds the school record in the 800y free relay with a time of 7:06.05... Posted the school's second-fastest times in the 100y free (49.67) and the 200y free (1:45.83)... Swam the school's third-fastest time in the 200y IM with a time of 2:00.48... Has the school's best times as a member of the 200y free relay (1:29.78) and the 400y free relay (3:16.12).

FRESHMAN (1998-99): At the 1999 NCAA Championships, earned her first national championship as a member of the 400 free relay squad that finished first in a time of 3:16.49, along with teammates Farella, Knapp and Tolar... Also earned first-team All-America honors as a member of the 800 freestyle relay that set a school record and finished second in a time of 7:09.19... Third first-team All-America nod came as she swam the second leg of the 400 medley relay team that finished sixth (3:39.53)... Won the consolation final in both in 100 breaststroke and the 200 individual medley at the NCAA meet... Was an honorable mention All-America selection in both the 100 breaststroke (ninth place-1:02.34) and the 200 individual medley (ninth place-1:58.27)... Arizona's second-most active participant at the NCAAs as she swam in six separate events over the three-day event... Finished 20th in the 100 free, after clocking a prelim time of 50.28 Set her second of three school records with her time of 1:58.27 in the 200 IM at NCAAs... The third record came as a member of the 400 medley relay squad at the NCAA Championships (3:39.01)... Ended the year with the top Arizona times in the 100 breast (1:02.32) and the 200 IM (1:58.27).

YEAR-BY-YEAR: Competed at the 1996 Olympic Trials, finishing 16th in 200m IM (2:19.10) and 27th in the 100m freestyle... Member of the 1995 U.S. Junior National Team... Finished first in the 200m breaststroke (2:36.58), second in the 50m free (26.95) and eighth in the 400m IM (5:01.80) at Junior Nationals in the summer of 1995... Finished sixth in the 100m free (57.86) at Senior Nationals in the spring of 1995 and seventh in the 200m IM (2:20.10)... At the 1994 U.S. Olympic Festival, set a festival record in the 200 IM (2:19.70), finished second in the 200 free (2:05.41) and finished third in 100 free (57.68)... Member of relay teams that won two gold medals and one bronze... Voted the festival's most valuable swimmer.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four varsity letters, two for coach Gerry Seaquist at Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, Ariz. and two for coach Connie Mickelson at Dobson High School, in Mesa, Ariz... Graduated in 1998 from Dobson HS...Only female swimmer in Arizona high school history to win eight individual state titles... Holds the national private school record in the 200m individual medley (1:59.82) and 100m free (49.71)... Class 5A State Champion in the 100m freestyle (50.49), 200m IM (2:01.29), 200 medley relay and 400 free relay in 1994... Class 5A State Champion in the 100 free (49.71), 200 IM (1:59.82), 200 medley relay and 200 free relay in 1995... Class 5A State Champion in the 200 IM (2:01.97) and 100 breast (1:03.09) in 1996... Class 5A State Champion in the 200 IM (2:00.56), 100 fly (54.95), 200 free relay and 400 free relay in 1997.

Daughter of Gregory and Gwen Mastin... Brother, Greg, swam for UA, 1996-98... Captain of high school swim team in 1997-98... High school renaissance scholar-athlete... Enjoys poetry, running, music, California and spending time with Jessamyn Miller... Graduated from high school in 1998 with academic honors.
