Hey everyone! It's been a busy last few weeks for the GymCats with recruits and Homecoming, but now it's time to get down to "gym" business! Practices have been getting better everyday, which is always a good sign! :) Monday we had a little competition on beam. Both the red and blue teams did great! A lot of people stepped up to the plate so to speak! We love to see those competitive streaks come out. Our beam team is going to be AMAZING this year! Friday we had a little "game" that Bill made up for bars that dealt with strategy and confidence in each other. It was a lot of fun! Bars is looking better and better, with new tricks and harder dismounts everyday.

It's the GymCats favorite time of year... Thanksgiving! We had a team Thanksgiving party on Sunday before everyone leaves for the break. But don't worry, we definitely worked it off in weights the next day! Everyone made something different, mostly the basics, and we had lots of desserts. We love team bonding opportunities like these. After eating a big dinner, most of us took little cat naps while watching "Hitch". Some of the girls are going home on Wednesday after weights for a few days. But the rest of us are staying in town, partly due to the nice warm weather! We are still laying in the sun and it's November! I get surgery on Wednesday on my knee so my Mom will be here to cook us a great Thanksgiving dinner!

On a little bit of a sadder note, Matt Radelet, our trainer, just decided to take a new job in town. We are all going to miss him a lot, but we know the job was just too good for him to pass up. The whole GymCat family wishes him the best, and we thank him for all the great years he spent with the GymCats. And we expect him to come to all our meets and of course, still listen to our whining, because we know he'll miss it greatly!

I guess that's all for now, even though I could go on and on about this team. I can't wait for the season to start and for everyone to see the new and improved GymCats!
